Q3:  I am using Netscape 4.x or lower; why am I getting the blank screen with no charts showing?

Your Internet connection could be connected from behind a firewall or proxy. We suggest you consider consulting your network administrator for further advice. We have found that the following steps will make Global-View.com's IntelliChart™ Desktop work under proxy settings:

  1. Close Netscape if it is currently running.
  2. Launch a text editor such as Notepad or Word Pad.
  3. Select Open from the File menu drop-down.
  4. At the bottom of the dialog box, change the "Files of Type" selection to "*All files" or "*All documents".
  5. Using the directory tree, locate the file called "prefs.js" usually located in your C drive under ProgramFiles\Netscape\users\username.
  6. Select the file and open it.
  7. Scroll to the bottom and type (exactly) the following:
    user_pref("security.lower_java_network_security_by_trusting_proxies", true);
  8. Click Save. This automatically overwrites the old file.
  9. Launch Netscape.
